Move to Zero

Three different artists had to dig into the Nike and Dazed archives, reimagining the past to create the future. The result is »Issue Zero«, a digital magazine that showcases three different approaches to one journey, taking inspiration from existing materials to imagine the new. Dazed and Nike joined forces to find new, sustainable ways to create art, by sharing resources and digging through existing materials, inspired by Nike's »Move To Zero« ethos. The Nike Air Force 1 Crater contains at least 20% recycled materials. Stephanie Specht’s project consists of nearly 50% archive artwork, and demands that the viewer recycles and reuses it almost instantly by switching and combining pages. Her multifunctional Issue Zero contribution was created from archive Nike material and Dazed slogans, a collection of posters each containing one letter that when presented as a whole says »Move To Zero«. I am so grateful to have been able to animate this wonderful concept by Stephanie for Nike and Dazed.
